tinder box

the beijing olympics are a tinder box. First it will be the #1 target for protesters. second, china will have media it can’t control (if they attempt to censor US media, the media will hit back hard or leave, causing china to lose valuable  assets and face. open to attack by the world’s politicians.) third, China is cracking down on visas, making it harder for foreigners to enter the country. US citizens will balk, because it is hard enough leaving america, so going into a Communist state will be a nightmare. Same with other nationals. fourth, china has promised harsh measures against protesters, domestic and foreign. If china detains and tortures a US citizen, it will be an international incident. 5. China will take a hardline and can not lose face, it will only take one incident to set this off.

Bejing olympics

Steven spieleg decided not to help the beijing olmpics for a very simple reason, pr. Who wants to be assocatied with a country that beats down peaceful buddhistic monks? Look out for the abuse to be caught on intional tv for the olympics.

The probe

If we are visited by aliens (The number of sightings added to ancient accounts says, we problaly been visited but do to natural skepticism, I am 50/50 on it) people wonder why we get probed. The answer is  simple, rectal thermometer. Why not? how else are they gonna to take our temp. Cow mutilations? dissection, all of these are valid methods zoologists use to study animals in wild. How else are you gonna study animals without poking and prodding it?

ET

Is there life out there? (CJ, you probably remember this from my virtual Va blog) Yes, there has to be.  Here is why, if we use the assumption earth is the only life supporting planet in the milky way galaxy (I use the assumption for ease of calculation) that is one out of 15 billion planetary bodies. There are an estimated 10 quadrillion planetary  bodies in the universe. I calculate that there must be at least 1 539 other planetary bodies that must support life. Intelligent life?

Yes, Earth is young, comparatively, so other planets must have evolved life.

Hong Kong

China claims that communism is the most cost efficient system, yet Hong Kong, when it under british control, yielded higher profits. China, when it gained control, left things as they were, because they knew it would diminish profit if they changed it. Question is, how long will it stay that way? China will bring Hong Kong back into the government’s fold, bringing Hong Kong into the red.
